One of the funniest videos I have ever seen.

Ok, I know that some of ya’ll will think that there is something wrong with me that I am posting 2 days in a row.  And no, your computer will not blow up because of it either.  My computer does not know what is going on but it will get over it. This  made me laugh, HARD, nothing spiritual about it, no spiritual epiphanies, no hidden spiritual lessons.  Just stinkin’ funny.  It will be funnier if you are a Star Wars fan, although it is still funny anyway and the Final Cut work is pretty good and different in a way.     Enjoy!

Another church to sports comparison

I have heard a lot of if you were at a (insert favorite teams’ name here) game you would be loud and crazy with your support, why can’t we be that way for God during our worship.  Well, on that note, I found this this on a friend from Enterprises’ blog and it puts things onto video that I have been only seen in my head.  And it is stinkin’ funny on top of that.  

I believe that people put their enthusiasm where their heart is.  That does not mean if you love college football you can’t give your heart to God.  We just have to not let the sport or team or hobby control our heart.

Praying Over Food

Some time back I heard a message from Mark Driscoll on Prayer. One of the points he brought up was blessing a meal.  He said that asking God to bless this food to the nourishment of our bodies was useless.  That all food nourishes our body, unless it is a case of Twinkies, lol.  Tim Hawkins is stinkin’ funny period.  I found this clip which is a long the same lines of what Driscoll was talking about.

Ok, I would not be making this post if it was not for Donnie. He told me at church Sunday that he missed me posting stuff, I got to thinking about how I miss it too. I enjoy putting up video clips and pieces I find that are funny, inspirational, and just all around good, in the way they are edited, composited, etc.  I found this on Vimeo by looking at the ones that the staff like.

I hope to post something video related about every 2 or 3 days. (keep me on my toes Donnie! lol)

GIVIN’ OUT WATER

Went out this morning with Pastor Roy and Matt and the 412 group and handed out water at the intersection of 301 and  Boyett.  Awesome time, these kids just amaze me with their enthusiasm.  We handed out 450 waters in an hour and 15 mins.  

Then it was back to the church for food(thanx Al and Cheri for some great sandwiches) and fellowship with the kids, again awesome.

 It is funny how many people refused FREE water and then to see some kind of christian bumper sticker on their car, the way they acted, you would think we had cooties!  Don’t they realize that if they let us bless them that they will be blessed? oh well, it was a great time and the kids got to see what it was to get out and meet people in the name of reaching the city.

One of the coolest things was the fact that we were done in about 4 hours.  Awesome!

Breaks Over

I have been looking at stuff on the web.  Mainly artsy stuff.  Some of done by churches or for churches, most of it just art involving video in one way or another. A thought has come to mind, “Media being used to reach people for God, is it art?”  Just a thought/question.  While you are thinking about it watch these videos that we used during our vision casting services and let me know what you think.

Break

I am taking a break from blogging, for all the 5 people that sometimes read my blog.  You ask, “You have not posted in 5 forevers and you say you are taking a break?”.  Let me explain.  It is true that I have not posted in a little while, but every day I tell myself that I am going to post today and when I get busy and don’t get a post up, I feel I have failed at the day.  So I am going on a official break 4 weeks maybe more.  This way I can have some days that one of the things I don’t have to worry about is posting on my blog.

So, I am officially on a blog break.
